It is with intense sadness that I post this.  Napoleon, my beloved cat finally met his Waterloo at 12.45 this morning.  He had basically deteriorated over the past few days, his condition worsening to the point tha last night, he'd used his litter tray and coudn't even muster up the strength to scale the first step of the stairs.  His back legs had ( Read more... )

Booo....today is the first day I've woken up and actually felt that summer is oficially over.  It's chilly and dull and just generally winter-like.  Ah well, time to break out the boots and big coats.  Apparently Carmexboy is planning a 'shoe amnesty' next weekend, where I have to go through my shoes and *sob* throw away the ones that I don't wear ( Read more... )

After a day of worrying if I would ever see him again, Napoleon came back from the vets and everything is fine, apparently, which is really good news!  The blood tests all came back normal, which rules out cancer, leukaemia and others, while a good examination under the anaesthetic found no lumps, bumps or obvious blockages.  He's been dosed up ( Read more... )

My poor Napoleon is ill again, which means more trips to the vets.  This time, because he's such a horror on the examining table, they're going to have to knock him out so they can take a blood sample.  So that means he's in the vets all day tomorrow, and it's going to cost £120.  The money doesn't matter though--I just want to find out what's ( Read more... )

I woke up today with a massive headache, and a sore throat.  That's two of the symptoms of swine flu, for the paranoid. I don't think I have a fever though, which is a good sign.  That'd be just bloody typical though, after the week I've had, to come down with the swine flu (or even any kind of flu) just in time for the weekend.  I'm actually ( Read more... )
